How to Fix Tilting PC Screen Display on Windows 7 8 and 10

Because the screen is upside down is a normal situation experienced by people, and usually can be resolved with just a keyboard shortcut or a few mouse clicks.
The most likely reason that you are experiencing this difficulty is because you accidentally pressed the wrong button, incorrectly adjusted the display settings or connected an external monitor or other display device.
Here's how to fix a screen that tilts sideways or up on Windows 7, 8, and 10.

Keyboard Shortcuts

The following keyboard shortcuts can be used to rotate your screen. Whether this shortcut is available or not depends on several software factors that you have installed. It may also be that your special configuration offers a combination of these hotkeys, but they must be activated manually before they can be used. Gadgetholix recommends to take the keyboard route first, because it is quite fast and easy and can be useful if you experience this problem again in the future.
The most common keyboard shortcut combinations to rotate your screen are as follows:

CTRL + ALT + Upper Arrow
CTRL + ALT + Down Arrow
CTRL + ALT + Left Arrow
CTRL + ALT + Right Arrow.

If pressed these buttons simultaneously does not seem to have any effect, you can try the following steps to ensure that the hotkey is activated with your graphics card or you can proceed to the next method shown below to resolve this problem.
If the keyboard shortcut method does not fix your problem, use the following methods of various types of Windows.

Windows 10

Right-click on an empty space anywhere on your desktop.
When the menu appears, select the Display settings option.
Your friend's display settings should now be visible in a new window. If you can't right-click your mouse for some reason, another way to access menu menus is to enter the following text into Windows 10 or the basic search bar and select the appropriate result: Display settings.
Select Landscape from the Orientation drop-down menu.
Click on the Apply button, which will immediately rotate your screen.
A blue and white dialog will now appear, asking if you want to maintain your new screen orientation or return to the previous display. If you are satisfied with the updated look, click the Keep changes' button. If not, choose Revert.

Windows 8

Click on the Windows button, which is found in the lower left corner of the screen.
When the pop-out menu appears, select the Control Panel option.
After the Control Panel tab appears, click  Adjust screen resolution, located in the Appearance and Personalization section.
Changes in the appearance of your screen should be seen. Click the Orientation drop down menu and select the Landscape option.
Next, click Apply to immediately apply these changes.
A dialog appears containing two buttons, which asks you to choose whether you want to keep the new screen look. To do this, click on Keep changes. To return to the previous settings, select the Revert button.

Windows 7

Click on the Windows menu button, located in the lower left corner of the screen.
When the pop-out menu appears, select Control Panel.
In the Control Panel view Click the Adjust screen resolution link, which is located on the right side of the window under the heading Appearance and Personalization.
A new screen with the following header should now be visible: Change the appearance of your screen. Select Landscape from the Orientation drop down menu.
Click on the Apply button
The Small View Settings dialog will appear. If you want to keep the newly played view, select  Keep changes. If not, click the Revert button.
